The 15th Annual Twilight At Taronga 2010 Summer Concert Series

Sydneysiders, prepare to party! Summer is set to sizzle when an outstanding array of Australian talent burns up the Taronga Zoo stage every weekend from 30 January until 27 March.

The Sun-Herald Twilight at Taronga showcases the best of Sydney in the summer. Grab your friends, pack your picnics, and experience the thrill of an open-air night concert in the wild surrounds of Taronga Zoo. Enhanced by the exotic calls of the animals and the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour, the combination makes for an awe-inspiring experience.

On Saturday January 30, the series opens with multi-award winning songstress Katie Noonan, celebrating the music of Lennon and McCartney. The start of February sees international sensation, Bjorn Again, with 3 performances of their hugely popular tribute to ABBA. Continuing the tribute theme, other performances scheduled that month include the amazing Peter Byrne and the Sydney International Orchestra re-creating all the classic hits of Neil Diamond in His Music His Life, and the Woodstock 40th Anniversary Special featuring an all-star line-up of musicians and singers. Also in February is one of the great Australian success stories, the ARIA, Logie and Helpmann Award winning Choir of Hope & Inspiration (formerly Choir of Hard Knocks) led by founder, Dr Jonathon Welch AM.

Saturday March 6 sees the highly acclaimed and dynamic Australian Chamber Orchestra performing a very appropriate Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, featuring a funny new verse by cartoonist, Michael Leunig. The following weekend, Australia's international smash hit Kylie tribute show, 100% Kylie will capture the look and sound with all her hits, whilst on the 19th & 20th, the stage is set for a rocking, drama-filled evening starring Elton Jack and Bigshot. Their Tour de Force show will celebrate musical legends, Elton John and Billy Joel. Closing the series over 2 nights on March 26 & 27, we welcome back popular Taronga favourite, international jazz great James Morrison in a special salute to the swing greats!

These concerts, over the years, have become an institution for summer entertainment in Sydney. Those who have already enjoyed this unique experience will be getting their tickets early, so if you haven't been before, hurry ... don't miss out on a night of musical magic!

BYO picnic or there will be a kiosk open for light refreshments.
