Chaika At The Rhythm Hut

The Rhythm Hut is a cornerstone of culture in the Central Coast, a wonderful venue with a beautiful vibe which makes it the perfect place for Chaika to wrap up their May mini tour. Chaika are a six member ensemble who perform uniquely original compositions and re-imaginings of traditional songs. Sensuous, cinematic and danceable, their music is a rich tapestry of vocal harmonies that weave seamlessly into instrumental dialogues.

Bail Out Sydney

Whitelion charity's annual fundraiser “Bail Out” will provide participants with the experience of a lifetime - a day in the life of a prisoner. Aiming to raise $700,000 in funds for the charity's vital education, health and mentoring programs that go to disadvantaged, poverty-stricken youths across Australia, people can sign up to the event as “inmates”. Inmates are required to sign up with a minimum $1000 bail set, so that family, friends and the public can donate money toward your freedom! Get involved to help raise funds and change a young Australians life today!

Buddha's Birthday Festival

Tumbalong Park & Palm Grove Celebrate Buddha's birthday and share a message of peace while enjoying talks, performances, meditation and delicious vegetarian food. Creativity in Education

Bradfield Senior College will be presenting a panel discussion, inspiring educators to combine creativity and originality with the high school curriculum in order to empower and enrich innovative thinking. With a panel of experts including keynote speaker Dr James Arvanitakis, Dean of the Graduate Research School of Western Sydney University, the discussion will provide tools and guidelines to educators to help bring creativity into the classroom to engage students and give them the skills to succeed in their future careers.
